MAG (previously titled MAG: Final Hour) is an upcoming MMO shooter for the PlayStation 3 in development by Zipper Interactive. The game was announced at Sony’s E3 2008 press conference. Various subtitles were being considered for the game, including MAG: Shadow War, MAG: Zero, MAG: Global Assault and MAG: Massive Action Game. The game is scheduled for release in North America on January 26, 2010. Release dates for the rest of the world have not yet been announced.

The game will utilize a new server architecture to support online battles with up to 256 players, with users divided into 8-player squads, with 4 squads forming a platoon, and 4 platoons forming a company. Each squad will be led by a player who has advanced through the game’s ranking system. Character statistics and development will also increase with frequent gameplay. The players most advanced in rank will be able to either direct the battle or participate directly in combat.
Basic battles will take place within ongoing, faction-based campaigns to encourage the player to actively play. The game’s E3 unveiling trailer featured large landscapes, tactics such as air strikes and parachuting, and a variety of vehicles, from tanks and APCs to airplanes.

The game will contain three different private military company factions:
1.)S.V.E.R. (pronounced “Sever”)-S.V.E.R is based out of Grozny, in the Chechen Republic. Unconventional in their look and a fierce fighting style, S.V.E.R operatives consists of former soldiers and citizens, some rumored to have criminal backgrounds.
2.) Raven- Based in Vienna, Austria, Raven Industries, Gmbh provides specialized military services using cutting-edge equipment and advanced tactical coordination.
3.) Valor- Founded by former U.S. Army officers, Valor Company, Inc. offers an experienced team of veterans drawn from U.S, British and Mexican special forces. The company is headquarted in the Alaskan wilderness.
Players will be able to customize the face, voice, and armor of their characters, as well as what weapons and kit they carry into battle. The game will be a first-person shooter.

Command & Conquer: Red Alert 3 is a 2008 real-time strategy video game developed by EA Los Angeles and published by Electronic Arts. Announced on February 14, 2008, it was released on October 28, 2008 in the United States for Microsoft Windows-based PCs and three days later in Europe. A version for the Xbox 360 console was released in the U.S. on November 11. The PlayStation 3 version was delayed due to difficulties with the system’s architecture. On January 21 2009 EA officially announced Command & Conquer: Red Alert 3 – Ultimate Edition, the PS3 version which contains bonus material extra to that of the Xbox 360 and PC versions. The Ultimate Edition has been released on March 23, 2009. Also announced for a late March release is the Mac OS version, converted to that platform by TransGaming. The game forms a part of the Red Alert sub-series within the Command & Conquer series of games. In early January, EA Los Angeles announced a new addition to the game: Command & Conquer: Red Alert 3 – Uprising, a stand-alone single player expansion pack that was released for Windows in March 2009. It was offered via digital distribution.
The game is set in a parallel universe in which World War II never happened—in the original Red Alert, Albert Einstein travelled back in time and removed Hitler in the 1920s. After an Allied victory in Red Alert 2, the Soviet leaders travelled back in time and removed Albert Einstein in 1927, preventing the Allies from creating atomic weapons while the Soviet Union rose to power, battling the Allies in the 1950s. In this game, the Empire of the Rising Sun rises to power as a threat as well (an unintentional result of the Soviets time travelling). All three factions are playable, with the main gameplay involving constructing a base, gathering resources, and training armies composed of land, sea, and airborne units to defeat other players. Each faction has a fully co-operative campaign, playable with an Artificial Intelligence or with another human player online. These campaigns follow a storyline, with specific mission objectives and unit restrictions applied. Unrestricted skirmish play against the computer and multiplayer via LAN or online is also available.
The game received mostly positive reviews, with reviewers citing the co-operative and multiplayer components as strengths, along with the enhanced role of naval combat compared to other real-time strategy games. Commonly cited weaknesses included aspects such as unit pathfinding.

It is the sixth installment of the Call of Duty series, and the direct sequel to Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare, continuing along the same storyline.Modern Warfare 2 will be released in conjunction with two other Call of Duty games: Call of Duty: Modern Warfare: Mobilized for the Nintendo DS, and Call of Duty: Modern Warfare, a port of Call of Duty 4 adapted by Treyarch for the Wii console. Combining platforming and third-person shooter elements, the game charts the journey of protagonist Nathan Drake, supposed descendant of the explorer Sir Francis Drake, as he seeks the lost treasure of El Dorado, with the help of friend Victor “Sully” Sullivan and journalist Elena Fisher.

Originally announced at E3 2006,[4] the title was developed for about two years before being released at the end of 2007. Seen as a key title for the PlayStation 3 during the holiday season of 2007,[6] the game was well-received by critics, many of whom cited its technical achievements and its high production values, similar to that of summer blockbuster films. The game went on to sell more than one million copies in ten weeks, and become part of the European best-selling Platinum Range of titles. A sequel was created, Uncharted 2: Among Thieves.

Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare is a first-person shooter video game, developed by Infinity Ward and published by Activision for Mac OS X, Microsoft Windows, PlayStation 3, Wii, and Xbox 360. The game was released in North America, Australia, and Europe in November 2007 for video game consoles and Windows, was released for the Mac in September 2008, and will be released for the Wii in November 2009. It is the fourth installment in the Call of Duty video game series, excluding expansion packs, and is followed by a direct sequel, Modern Warfare 2. The game breaks away from the World War II setting of previous games in the series and is instead set in modern times. Call of Duty 4 was in development for two years, and it uses a proprietary game engine.
The story takes place in a fictional near-future, where a radical leader has staged a coup d’état in the Middle East, and an “Ultranationalist” movement has instigated a civil war in Russia. The events of the conflicts are seen from the perspectives of an American Marine and a British SAS commando, and are set in multiple locations, including the Middle East, Azerbaijan, Russia, and Prypiat, Ukraine. The multiplayer portion of the game features various game modes, and contains a leveling system that allows the player to unlock additional weapons, weapon attachments, and camouflage schemes as they advance.
Critically acclaimed, the game received an aggregated score of 94% from both Game Rankings and Metacritic. The gameplay, multiplayer, and story received particular praise, while criticism targeted what was perceived as an inability to innovate the first-person shooter genre. The game won numerous awards from gaming websites, including IGN’s Best Xbox 360 Game. It was the top-selling game worldwide for 2007, reaching over seven million copies by January 2008, and over 13 million by May 2009.
